Act of Hope

John Jaksich

As parents and grandparents, we try to shield our children from the evils that life occasionally throws, but we never really know how it will affect our own souls. Day in and out we watch and hope for the best—a literally mind-numbing experience, at times.

We hope our children will not experience the pains which we have experienced in our own lives—but until that day truly comes-we can only act in an earnest and loving manner.

My heart bleeds from a pain which is, at times, I believe truly agonizing. However, all I can say, with certainty—is I will act with a faith truly unique to my own—a faith which says I can change myself and the world for a better tomorrow.
